Managing Big Data on a PC

Campigotto A, Poljak Z, Stone EA, Stacey D, and Bernardo TM Published Preventive Medicine Journal November 2019 While working with electronic medical record from over 19 million individuals, we were able to define a baseline prediction for an cat's weight as it ages over its lifetime based on sex, age and breed using two different methods on a PC. We hope to better provide more personalized medicine for individual animals.

Campigotto A, Poljak Z, Stone EA, Stacey D, and Bernardo TM Published Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association (JAVMA) July, 2019 In partnership with IDEXX, data from over 19 million cats was collected from patient records in order to look for weight trends over the lifespan of a cat. This data was stratified by gender and breed in order to account for differences. We hope to use this data in the future to look at how cat health and wellness can be impacted by their weight.
